Museum of the Quai Branly

The Museum is ordered by President Jacque Chirac and opens its doors to the public in June 2006. It is constructed on one of the rarely-found spare land in the heart of Paris, in walking distance from the Eiffel Tower. Jean Nouvel conceives this original building of a passage among trees, hang over a garden covered of greeneries, small and colorful boxes are hitched with the central building along the Museum. These boxes covers and contains in fact a small part of the Museum. The Museum offers arts and civilizations from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas.
In January 2007, candidates running for 2007 presidency gathered in the Museum for the ceremony of the solemn declaration of the Ecologic Pact.
